GRADUATE PROGRAM of HYDROLOGIC SCIENCES

Daniel R. Pasteris

Doctor of Philosophy Degree
Class of 2013

Academic & Research Interest

My field of interest is global biogeochemical cycling and climate change, looking specifically at atmospheric transport and deposition through the use of ice cores. The goal of my research is to assess global scale human impacts and natural variability. Understanding the cycling of anthropogenic pollutants on a global scale allows for an accurate interpretation of current pollution issues, whereas knowledge of natural biogeochemical cycling is critical for interpreting past climate change and recognizing natural feedbacks in the present day.
